Twelve artists of the painting group, Band of Brushes, will exhibit their landscapes at the Newburyport Art Association July 1-23, with the opening reception in the Sam Sargent Gallery, Saturday, July 3, 7-9 pm.

Although the artists hail from Southern New Hampshire and the North Shore—they are connected by their love of nature and 'en plein air 'painting. Band of Brushes artists rendezvous to paint outdoors at beautiful north shore and seacoast locations such as Plum Island, Maudslay State Park, Ordiorne State Park, Lake Quannapowitt, Sedgwick Garden, and Cider Hill Farm.

Small to large paintings in oil, watercolor, pastel, and acrylics will be on display by the following Band of Brushes artists: Dorothy Aham of Newburyport, Muriel Angelil, Margery Jennings, Christine Molitor Johnson of Amesbury, Dale Partiss Greene and Sunny West of Ipswich, Lynn Murray of Salem, Pam Perras of Wakefield, Grace Daly and Betsy Lewis of Newton, NH, Sarajean Graham of Kensington, NH, and Robin Thornhill of Danville, NH.
