Attached to back of canvas is an envelope "Laguna Beach Art Association," containing an index card, "Laura Coombs Hills - Painter, 22 Essex St., Newburyport, Mass." The card contains a handwritten resume of Hills through 1928. The house depicted in the painting is most probably the house of her grandfather at the corner of Washington and Market Streets. The painting was purchased from a seller in California in 2001, and was found by him discarded at a church yard sale. Value $3,500.00 - $5,000.00
