“Although I admit to having a thing against”red barn images” this one won me over. Seeing the barn obscured so that it becomes a red triangle makes this exciting.  Awards for Photography

Vanessa Haroutunian, Grade 12, Newburyport, MA
“Untitled”
“Deceptively simple portrait at first glance, but look for the strong pattern of triangles both in the foreground, subject, and the background, and to the feeling of a moment captured on the wind( and a wonderfully organic wisp of hair caught up in the wind), and you’ve got a resonant, evocative image.” – Haig Demarjian

Stephanie Turnbull, Grade 11, Ipswich, MA
“Laundry”
“ A photograph that shows a keen eye at work. Capturing an image in an image is tricky business, especially such a loaded image.” – Haig Demarjian

Thomas Schwartz, Grade 11, Amesbury, MA
“Gloucester”
“ Wonderful color coupled with a compelling composition. So much information ranged along the bottom edge but with wonderful attention to zig-zagging space, the “x”, diagonals, verticals, and punctuation of yellows and iron oxides.” – Haig Demarjian
