The Newburyport Art Association presents the 7th Annual Budding Artist Show.  Middle School and High School age students grades 5-12 from the surrounding communities will have their artworks on exhibit March 24th - April 9th. A reception will be held Sunday, April 2, 3-5pm.

The juror for this show is Walter Meinelt.  He has 30 years experience as an art teacher and as the head of the Art Department at Masconoment Regional School.  He is also the co-chair of the Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards Advisory Board.  There were 195 submissions. $500 in cash prizes were awarded as well as, awards given by age group and media.
