Gerri Pollard

Gerri has been painting and exhibiting her oil paintings for approximately 12 years. She is presently studying with Pat Lutz of the Artist's Playground in Newburyport.

Gerri is drawn to the serence beauty and collage of colors that reflect on the marshes and streams. Over time, her work goes through many changes, reflecting the joy and happiness that she has experienced in life.

In the spring, summer and fall, I paint mostly outdoors in the New England area. I am inspired by the beauty of the ocean and the wonderful colors and shapes of the gardens by the seashore. In the winter I return to my studio to continue work on outdoor paintings. I also study and explore new techniques of applying paint. I am continuing to expand my knowledge of plein-air painting and developing new skills in still life work.
