Wilda Gerideau-Squires is a photographic artist noted for her abstract, landscape and human-interest photography. She uses both color and black/white film to contrast the varied moods of nature, people and things in settings around the world. Her extensive travels, particularly in Europe and Asia, triggered her strong interest in these genres. Over the past 35 years, I have found that be it a ferry crossing Hong Kong Harbor or a street corner in St. Petersburg, Russia, there are always unexpected scenes, faces and things rising before one which beg to be captured on film and shared with others.
Wildas work has been exhibited in the USA and Europe and displayed at photo l.a., one of the preeminent international venues for the photographic arts. Her work has also been published in the Best of Photography Annual for four consecutive years. Wilda has been the recipient of numerous regional awards and her work is held in private collections in the United States and Canada.
