 Bartlett Mall Acrylic Dennis Poirier |
Dennis Poirier’s paintings have been exhibited throughout the country, including the Hudson Valley Art Association, Allied Artists, in New York, and the Academic Artists Association in Springfield, Massachusetts. This summer his painting, Hazy Morning Fishermen, was accepted in the Art of New England Show at the Lyme Art Association in Lyme, Connecticut. In addition he has a collection of his sports art in the Sports Museum of New England in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Dennis is a member of the Copley Society of Boston, (a designated Copley Artist) the Oil Painters of America, the North Shore Arts Association, Rockport Art Association, Newburyport Art Association, Academic Artists Association and local art associations in southern Maine, including the York and Kittery art Associations. He has won numerous awards and honors, including the Gorton’s Award (best in show) and the North Shore Arts Association. Dennis Poirier was born in Santa Monica, California in 1954. His education includes the Butera School of Art, the Gloucester Academy of Fine Art, the Art Students League of New York, and private studies with John Terelak, Don Stone, and David Leffel. |
