"Land of the Anasazi"

The prehistoric Anasazi inhabited the American Southwest and left numerous ruins as testaments to their resourcefulness and ingenuity. The pueblos of this region are living monuments to these ancient peoples. This is an arid land of dramatic vistas, deep canyons, rugged scenery, sparse vegetation, and diverse cultures. The Anasazi ruins in the rugged canyons of this region seem to have been built with such beauty in mind.
The photographs in this exhibit are about light and illumination. The black and white image creates a distinctive world of imagination - of luminosity and elegance - that provides the viewer with an exceptional aesthetic and emotional experience. It's an abstraction of the real world, providing the viewer with a unique vision of that world, a "world of art and imagination."
