Artist Statement:
I was born in 1949 in New York and lived in Queens with parents who loved the arts. My father was an Art Director at Young & Rubicam.  Many hours were spent in Greenwich Village and the many museums and parks in New York City and the suburbs.  Summers explored Long Island and surrounding waters.  The appreciation for the sky, the flowers and the sea grew. Arts and crafts were encouraged, but not a career in the uncertain world of art.  I chose instead to develop my other passion; helping people in need.  Now in my 50’s, I have rekindled this interest in art and photography with an enlightened vision. My skills at imaging the heart are transferred to the study of nature’s intimate places.  The magic of flowers and of color in nature, the sea and its coastline with its suppressed violence, intrigue me.  The range of light in Back & White, both simplify and enhance how I view the world.   Share this vision of the sun and moon with me.
