| The “Women in the Wild” are Susan Spellman of Newburyport, Christine Molitor Johnson of Amesbury, Susan Hebenstreit of Merrimacport, Cheryl Dyment of Middleton, and JoAnne Gauthier of Hudson, N.H. All have studied outdoor landscape painting with Kevin J. Shea of Newburyport.
The “Women in the Wild” all paint landscapes en plein aire, or in the open air, as did the impressionist painters, and are particularly interested in depicting picturesque areas.
Visitors to the gallery are invited to meet the women artists at a reception- UPSTAIRS at the Newburyport Art Association - on Saturday, July 8th from 7 to 9 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
