"A SENSE OF PLACE": PART II

The Newburyport Art Association and the Newburyport Maritime Society offered this collaborative art exhibition featuring the works of NAA members in figurative and abstract images of this marine region today and in the past. Part II included works in oil, acrylic, water-based media, pastel, mixed media and fine crafts.
Robert Scott Jackson was guest curator. Mr. Jackson is a native of Newburyport and is a well-known regional painter and teacher. He started his full-time painting career as a member of the Newburyport Art Association in the 1960's and 1970's. He is a Copley Master at the Copley Society of Boston and is a graduate of the Vesper School of Art, Boston. The following works were featured, with comments by the guest curator.
