NAA Outstanding Volunteer
September 2006 - Mark Brophy

NAA would like to introduce you to one of our outstanding volunteers, Mark Brophy. Mark is always willing to help and contributed his construction skills and his truck/ trailer for the NAA Yankee Homecoming float. He is a former NAA Vice President. A lifelong photographer and poet, he began his sculpture career in 1992 when he tried his hand at woodcarving. Since then he has worked in clay, plaster, plastic, bronze, cement and marble three-dimensional pieces and done paintings in pastels and acrylics. "I have to say one of my goals in life is to ignite the creative fire in everyone I meet, whether it be gardening , cooking, painting, sculpture, etc... In order to be a whole person you must indulge your spiritual needs as well as physical and mental ones. Never in my wildest dreams did I believe that I could create art. I now work in every medium I can get my hands on."

Thank you Mark, for all that you do for the NAA.
