Newburyport Art Association
Enrollment Policies
NAA Enrollment:
Enrollment is limited and will only be guaranteed upon receipt of payment. NAA reserves the right to substitute instructors. If a class or workshop is cancelled, due to insufficient enrollment, students will be notified, and will receive a full refund. If prices, dates and descriptions printed in different NAA materials vary, NAA reserves the right to correct them at the time of registration. Registration forms will not be accepted before the advertised class or workshop enrollment date.
Membership Discounts:
NAA members who wish to register for an adult art class or workshop are eligible for the advertised member discount. If a student is not a member of the NAA and wishes to receive the member discount they may join as an NAA member to receive the full benefits at the time of registration. Note: All youth art classes are priced at a lower rate for all young artists regardless of membership status. Parents are invited to join under the Family Membership level.
Wait Lists:
The NAA does not keep a wait list for any class or workshop.
Class & Workshop Cancellation:
Class and workshops will be cancelled in the event of severe weather. If for any reason a class or workshop is cancelled, Instructors will contact students. Students will be granted one make up day, which Instructors must schedule through the NAA office.
Refunds:
No refunds are issued once the first class or workshop of a session has begun. A full refund will be issued only if the class or workshop is closed. If a student chooses to withdraw from a class or workshop it must be at least 14 business days before the start of classes, and submitted in writing, at which time a non-refundable processing fee of $20.00 is deducted from their refund.
Drop Out Policy:
Enrollment is limited for each class or workshop, and the NAA has insured a place for students through our registration process. Student participation is important to us, so once a student has been accepted into the class or workshop of their choice, they are encouraged to attend each class. Students who miss scheduled classes or workshops, or drop out of a class or workshop in progress for any reason will not be refunded any portion of the course fee.
Under 18 Permission:
Students under the age of 18 will need to obtain permission from their parent(s) or guardian in order to attend NAA life drawing sessions that involve nude models. Permission Forms may be obtained through the NAA Office.
Visitors:
Students of all ages should not bring guests into the classroom. Due to space limitation, and in fairness to students enrolled in NAA classes and workshops, the NAA has a “no guest policy”. Persons not enrolled in the class or workshop will not be permitted to observe or participate in the NAA class or workshop.
Missed Class:
No make up class is provided to students who miss class. And no refunds will be issued for any missed class.
Under 18 Emergency Contact:
All students attending NAA classes and workshops who are under 18 years of age must fill out an Emergency Contact Information Card at the time of registration.
